Our Services
Three engagements, each with a defined scope and a fixed fee
Each engagement type addresses a specific question that recurs among established manufacturers. You choose the one that fits what you are dealing with — or we can help you determine which is most relevant during a first conversation.

How every permataisa engagement works
All three of our engagements follow the same underlying structure: we begin by observing and listening before we analyse, we write our conclusions down rather than only presenting them verbally, and we include one round of revision as standard.
The first step in any engagement is a mutual non-disclosure agreement. From that point, we treat all information shared with us as commercially sensitive and handle it accordingly.
We work with a small number of clients concurrently, which means the people conducting your engagement are the same senior practitioners who proposed it — not a team of analysts following a template from a distance.
Step 1
Initial conversation
Discuss whether an engagement is a reasonable fit. No charge, no obligation.
Step 2
Proposal & NDA
Written scope, fee, and timeline agreed. NDA signed before any substantive discussion.
Step 3
On-site & analysis
Site visits, interviews with relevant staff, and financial or structural analysis as applicable.
Step 4
Written delivery
First draft delivered, one revision round included. Final document with leadership session where relevant.
Engagement 01
Manufacturing Floor Diagnostic
A focused engagement for established manufacturers in the Kinta Valley and the wider Perak region whose operations would benefit from a thoughtful outside reading. The diagnostic includes a structured site visit, conversations with the production manager and operations leadership, and a short written summary of where attention is most likely to repay the effort. The intent is to support — not replace — the firm's internal operational thinking.

Engagement 02
Cost-to-Serve Review
A considered analytical engagement for industrial and B2B firms whose product range has grown over time and who suspect, without being able to confirm, that some lines are being subsidised by others. Over eight weeks we work with the firm's finance team to build a clearer view of the true cost of serving each major customer and product line, present the findings in a written report and a working session with the leadership team, and discuss what, if anything, the firm wishes to change in light of the analysis. The decisions remain with the firm.

Engagement 03
Industrial Group Restructuring Advisory
A senior engagement for groups in central Malaysia whose operations span several legal entities and whose structure has grown alongside the business rather than being deliberately designed for it. Over five months we work with the leadership team to document the current arrangement, identify the points where it is creating friction, and prepare a redesigned structure that the firm can implement in stages alongside its tax and legal advisors. Includes monthly steering sessions, a written framework, and ongoing advisory through the first phase of implementation.

Decision Guide
Which engagement is right for you?
The three engagement types address different questions. If more than one seems relevant, a first conversation can help you prioritise.

Across All Engagements
Professional standards we hold to
Confidentiality
Mutual NDA signed before any substantive discussion begins. Client information is used only within the scope of the agreed engagement.
Written proposals
Every engagement is scoped in writing before work begins. Scope, timeline, fee, and deliverable form are all agreed and documented.
Revision round
One round of clarification and revision is included in every engagement fee. Getting the written work right is part of the service.
Senior delivery
The partners who propose the work are the people who carry it out. There are no handoffs to junior team members mid-engagement.
No implementation conflict
We do not sell follow-on services, software, or implementation support. Our only output is analytical work, which means our recommendations are not influenced by what we would like to sell next.
Data deletion on completion
Client data — financial records, operational documents, personnel information — is deleted from our systems following final delivery, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

Not sure which engagement fits your situation?
A first conversation is the right place to start. We will discuss what you are dealing with and tell you honestly whether any of our engagement types seems relevant — and if not, say so plainly.
